Pumps and Supplies

Enteral Nutrition, also called Tube feeding, is the administration of nutrition (i.e. formula) through a tube which is placed directly in the stomach or intestine. These tubes are referred to as g-tubes or j-tubes. Enteral Nutrition is commonly prescribed for patients who can not consume enough calories to meet their daily needs orally. There are 3 methods to which Enteral Nutrition can be administered. These are by bolus method, gravity method or via a pump. Apple Infusion’s Enteral Coordinator will work with the patients healthcare team to verify insurance benefits and provide the formula and supplies to the patient.
